Yahoo! JAPAN and ValueCommerce Introduce Affiliate Service for “Yahoo! Blog” & “Yahoo! Geocities”
Yahoo! JAPAN, run by Yahoo Japan Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Masahiro Inoue) and ValueCommerce Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo, President & CEO: Brian Nelson) launched a privately branded affiliate service tailored to Yahoo! Geocities and Yahoo! Blog users on September 29th. This service is the first full-scale affiliate program for Yahoo! JAPAN.
Through this program, Yahoo! Blog and Yahoo! Geocities subscribers can now become an affiliate partner to promote a wide range of products and services through banner and contextual advertisements on their personal websites. Affiliate partners will earn commission on products they promote on their personal website that result in sales, leads and registrations. Commission will be paid to affiliate partners in the form of Yahoo! Points, set-up by advertisers on the Yahoo! network. Any subscriber to Yahoo! Blog or Yahoo! Geocities with a personal Blog site or website can easily become an affiliate partner.
Affiliate partners can now select and promote banner and contextual advertisements offered on the ValueCommerce affiliate network through the Yahoo! JAPAN and ValueCommerce partnership. In order to become an advertiser, it is necessary to first sign-up as an EC Site (Advertiser) with ValueCommerce. By running an affiliate program, advertisers will gain access to a channel offering considerable reach and sales power (Current number of total registered Yahoo! Japan ID’s: 2,800,000) through Yahoo! Blog and Yahoo! Geocities websites.
By offering an affiliate program on Yahoo! Blog and Yahoo! Geocities, the Yahoo! JAPAN and ValueCommerce partnership aims to expand their customer base and significantly improve customer satisfaction.
