Valuecommerce announce TOB finalization with Yahoo! Japan — Leveraging business synergies with a strategic capital tie-up —
Valuecommerce Co., Ltd., Japan’s leading affiliate marketing company, today announced the finalization of the Tender Offer Bid (TOB) for the purpose of a strategic capital alliance with Yahoo! Japan, as announced on the 28th of February. With the closure of the TOB, Yahoo! Japan has acquired a total of 41,971 shares (49.71%) at a cost of Y 10,936 million. Both companies will form a close co-operative working relationship.
Upon this capital tie-up, the expected increase of internet user traffic from Yahoo! Japan and the addition of products from its auction and shopping services, ValueCommerce plan to grow profitability for both E-commerce/ Advertisers and media partners who participate in the affiliate marketing network. By providing the Affiliate Marketing business to Yahoo!, ValueCommerce also expects to be able to contribute to increased satisfaction and performance of Yahoo! Japan customers. As the first step in this business alliance, ValueCommerce plans to introduce the ValueCommerce Affiliate Program to Yahoo! Shopping services. ValueCommerce is also expecting to create new services and generate new business opportunities by leveraging synergies with other Yahoo! Japan business divisions.
